Bétonsalon à Artissima

The Mr. Freedom Summit VENDREDI 4 NOVEMBRE 2011, 11h – 19h Artissima, Oval, Lingotto Fiere, Turin. Dans le cadre du programme curatorial "Simple Rational Approximations", Bétonsalon présente The Mr Freedom Summit, un ensemble d'interventions artistiques, académiques et curatoriales développées par 16 praticiens autour de la satire anti-impéraliste de William Klein intitulée Mr Freedom. Oeuvre de fiction avec à l'affiche Delphine Seyrig et Serge Gainsbourg, Mr. Freedom est un 'dessin animé' politique aux couleurs saturées, dans lequel Mr. Freedom , un super-héros simple d'esprit contrôlé par Dr. Freedom, va en France pour lutter contre les l’organisation communiste Anti-Freedom (FAF – Anti-Liberté française). A peine commencée, sa mission est compromise par des communistes qui infiltrent sa propre organisation anti-communiste Freedom et complotent  avec le stalinien Moujik Man et le maoiste Red China Man (un dragon géant gonflable qui fume)… Prenant des formats multiples, les interventions proposent une réflexion sur le vocabulaire formel et politique du film, tout en créant des liens vers d’autres pratiques dans le domaine du cinéma expérimental et activiste.
